In the controlled scrimmage G-P's 1st scored 1. Cuero's second team scored 1 time. It ended 1-1.

In the 12 minute controlled game Cuero won 14-0. Cuero's defense is awesome, limiting G-P to 2 1st downs.

Freshman lost 1-0 to G-P on an interception.

JV won 3-2 0ver G-P

Great outting guys. Tonight this team played with heart. GP was very talented but when it came down to conditioning and heart, we had it. Good Job Guys. Next Week West Oso Bears at Gobbler Stadium!

I'd hate to bust up the party and all, but I'm pretty ticked off...

Why not play 3 more quarters? Things were just starting to happen...

Luckily for GP. we only played one...

NIIIIIICCCCCCCEEEEEEE outing Gobblers...

PS:

KJ, it is unfair that you are the athlete you are as just a sophmore... ha

Speaking of conditioning... I was walking to my car and saw the GP players breaking out of their "after butt-whupping huddle" while Cuero was in the background running sprints...

Way to go Gobblers. From the good reports I gather there were no serious injuries.

Way to go Gobblers...you won practice. Wait a minute, we never win practice's. Way to go gobblers, you won something that means absolutly nothing. Good luck this year on winning a State Championship.

Like I give a crrap. Not talking smack, only stating that coach Harris don't try to win scrimmages. The #1 ranked 4A team last year only beat Cuero 1-0. All it is is a hard practice. We respect ya'll...wish you did the same.

agree is just practice as most likely they went up with no particular game plan to attack whatever weakness they might have seen in game films(which most likely is N/A)., but what these practices do is pretty much take out the coaching aspect and letting them just play the game, in which it sounds like Cuero was outmanning GP towards the latter part of the scrimmage. Was it 3-1 in scoring or 2-1 like the forum in CC caller GP states?

Agree...Gp is in a reloading year. We are not the team we were last year. We are smaller, slower and not as dominate as last year. I see us 2-3 deep in the playoffs. Most teams would charish that. Gp see's that as hard times.

I'll say Pirates over Wildcats by 10. wasn't you the one that said it'd be another 20 years before Sinton would beat G-P again? If so you fixin to be 20 years older in 2 weeks.:D :D :D

I loved the games in the mid 70's with Marty Akins QB and his dad coaching. My dad used to talk about Marty all the time, I felt like I knew him :)
