Four years ago I would have said Dallas without thinking. But after driving in Waco for the past three years, I would definitely give them the thumbs up - or one of those fingers.

I have to guess you haven't spent much time in Houston.

Man sometimes this 5 P.M. Sinton traffic is rough. It has sometimes taken me five minutes to get home. Worse if I have to wait at a train crossing. :)

Well let's face it. Lake Worth may have 3A enrollment, but it's not a 3A town.

Man I hate to hit a train, Reynolds and Dupont always moves theirs at 5:00, dumb why not at midnight??

But I have to agree with Sinton Houston is the worst. I learned to drive there. I feel for them and thank god I live in Ingleside. I'll wait on that dang train rather than sit in Houston traffic.

I've gotten kind of spoiled. I can get anywhere in town in five minutes. In houston I could only get to the nearest intersection if I was lucky in that amount of time.

When I was im Houston, I lived 11 miles from where I worked, and it would take 45 minutes if I got out at the right time, and sometimes an hour and a half if I didn't just to get there.

I lived in Houston in 1975 and I got to work easily in five minutes. Of course it helped if you only lived a few blocks from work and didn't have to get on the freeway. :)

Houston is the worst. Austin is a close second.

I have to go w/ Gainesville.. there are too many old people on the roads that drive 10 MPH under the speed limit, and then being only 7 miles away from oklahoma doesn't help either.. People from Oklahoma DO NOT know how to drive..

Let's just say I by-pass Austin when I'm headin to FW. Been to Houston 6 times this year never had too many problems. 59 to 10 on in to Channelview. Hit Houston late enough inthe mornings and left early enough in the afternoons that I didn't see too heavy of traffic.

Houston is by far the worst. Throw in all the construction they have going everywhere, and it makes it all the worse.

Houston is horrible. But at least it wasn't planned by famous artist M.C. Escher like Austin was.

Here is one of Escher's more known drawings called relativity.

You might recognize it on your drive through Austin.;)

People love to pull out in front of you and drive really slow. For a larger city in Texas, it would be Houston.

I've seen this in person several times. I did some work at the Wal-Mart in town and goodness the average age for anyone walking into Wally-World had to be around 75. On second thought, there wasn't alot of walking but plenty of "scooting".

Are we talking traffic, or drivability? For traffic, I'll go with Houston (or at least parts of it), but for drivability, I have to say Waco. I've never seen a town so hard to get around in!

BTW, BullFrog Dad, I'll agree with you on Lake Worth for 3A towns. Hwy 199 in the morning is a NIGHTMARE!

This is NEAR a 3A town (Port Isabel) but driving in Los Fresnos, TX sucks!

Major cop-trap. So just a word of advice driving through there. Speed limit says 55, you do 45. Speed limit says 45, you do 35. Speed limit says 35, you do 25. The cops will stop you for ANY LITTLE THING, even going 1mph over the limit.

Damned quota system they have going there.

i grew up in houston and am going to school in waco...maybe it is cause i learned to drive in Houston but it isnt that bad if you knowe where to go...however, u always plan for an hour delay or so if your going anywhere just cause you never know when there could be a wreck...Houston is a lot worse than Waco, the only thing about Waco that is tricky is that stupid traffic circle and thats only tricky because no one knows the correct way to use it since we dont have traffic circles in America, it beats me why they didnt just put a stop light there....

oh and whoever went 59 to 10 to Channelview, that's the easy stretch of Houston highway right there...atleast where 59 meets 10 on out to Channelview is, 59 itself can get backed up but it isnt as bad as 10 between 6-10 and 8 or 290...basically the west Houston highways....those r the worse
