It's amazing how my little car (that gets 33mpg on the highway) that went from being laughed at five years ago to now being admired.

What I don't understand is that these price spikes don't reflect the wholesale prices at all.

The high gas prices in Germany contain a lot (and I mean a lot) of taxes added. Sometimes I don't know how they do it, but then again they do have public transportation that's on time and you can always walk to the nearest pub.:D

It's all a psycological ploy to get the prices so high that when they go down and will still be rediculous but we won't complain cause they are lower even though rediculous. The fat cats of the oil companies get their big bonuses. (I am not talking about the ordinary employees who work for them and have to struggle for a living.)

Gasoline went down in Sinton to 2.479 cent a gallon - down 2 cents! Whoop de dooo! :)

And I hate to foretell gloom but look for food and other items to get on the high pricing bandwagon and go up too. I have seen it happen. The rediculous oil prices are only the beginning. Bye bye Cable tv. :(
