Vidor Gas Station Mistakenly Sells Premium Grade For $.26 a Gallon
( Air Date: 8/12/2005 )
With gas prices skyrocketing, finding a good deal is probably everyone`s dream. Friday in Vidor, a lot of people topped off their tank for next to nothing. The "In and Out" Chevron in Vidor was selling premium grade fuel for 26 cents a gallon. The owners say the problem may have gone undetected for two days.

Whether it was a computer glitch or human error, a lot of people cashed in on a major mistake. Micheal Lambright cashed in on the fuel price foul up. "We`re gonna go wherever we can to save some money," he said.

Countless customers waited in long lines to top off their tanks at a less than reasonable rate.
"We went and punched in at work and we heard about the gas being cheaper here," said on Port Arthur resident. "We punched out and came right back out."

While the bargain basement price was music to the ears and wallets of patrons, the store`s owners watched their profits roll down the drain.

"We must have had some computer errors or something or the guy probably messed up probably last night or something. We don`t know what`s wrong," he said
After discovering the gas price glitch, the owners turned off the pumps. But not before a number of people got away with the deal of a lifetime.
