Also the Southall family at ASU has ties to Gordon through their dad who was Wood's longtime assistant.

Yes, coach Story did play for Gordon Wood. I am not sure what year, but It was one of the State Championship teams and I believe coach Ellis of Iowa Park was on that team also.
