Madden 06 Roll Call

i like Madden but NCAA has taken over my PS2. For some reason NCAA is just a lil' more exciting for me even though I do like NFL football as well.

Madden is better for people who know football better, it is more of a simulation.. whille NCAA is a simulation as well, it has some Arcade style qualities (such as the long pass being easy, and so many tipped passes being caught, and running backs breaking thru 7 tackles for a touch down)..

Thats why I like madden better, you actually need a brain to win

With NCAA, basically whoever scores last wins. Madden is more defensively based.

Got it but haven't played it yet. For those interested, Circuit City is your best bet @ 39.99. Don't know how I'm gonna fit this in the game schedule cause I"m still playing Halo 2 (new online maps made the game new again!) GTA:SA, and Destroy All Humans (GREAT funny game!). I heard the new passing system is pretty funky but you can revert back to what we're used to. You basically ARE the QB in this one. We'll see how it goes....

I agree that NCAA has some arcade-like qualities. The passing IS too wide open, and the ability to score is a lot easier than Madden. I'd also venture to say that I have just as much football knowledge as anyone on this message board who doesn't touch football for a daily living. My personal reasons for liking NCAA more is b/c the collegiate football encompasses more people than NFL. I like to get into scoring battles, sometimes, because it's a video game and 17-14 scores aren't that exciting to me. I'd rather win on a last second touchdown 42-41. I also think NCAA football as a whole has more rivalries that touch more people than NFL football. Collegiate football has more "trickeration" that keeps the game more entertaining. That doesn't mean I don't love the NFL. I'll be a Cowboys fan, keep your comments, above all sports teams, professional or otherwise...Jasper Bulldogs not included :D
