UT Men's Tennis Recruit doing well!

UT recruit Michael Venus wins USTA Boys 18 Under Clay Court doubles title with his partner Andy Orban. He has also claimed the singles crwon at two consecutive national events in May and July. He is ranked third nationally in Boys 18 singles and will continue his summer tournament play next month at the USTA Nationals to be held in Kalamazoo, MI on August 5 - 14. Good news indeed regarding Texas tennis!

yeah because the mens tennis team has REALLY dropped off since Coach Snyder retired. I remember watching them in the late 90's when they had a team full of "home grown" players mixed in with some of the top talent around the country and usually 1 or 2 international guys. They still have players from Texas but the quality level has taken a HUGE dive.
