in your opinions, which cuero team do you think was the most physically gifted. 70's, 80's 90's etc

i think toss up between 87 and 94. both were tuff.

I would say '94, only because of the amount of players that were gifted enough to go onto the next level from that team, man there were a bunch, can't even name them all, but it's really a toss up...it's hard to compare two teams when I was only 3 when one won a state championship!;)

The 1974 team to me was the best. They had several D-1 college recruits on that team. They registered 9 shutouts that year with wins over teams like samuel Clemens, new Braunfels, Jacksonville, and Gainesville.

i agree with Old Green...even though I was only 8, I can remember alot of good players back then...

I'd say the '74 team. Three professional players out of that team alone--Henry Sheppard, Alois Blackwell and Arthur Whittington. Not too shabby for a town of (at that time) 6,000 or so.

i know 74 was tuff, but from top to bottom i think they were not as physically talented as 87 or 94. 74 had some really good players but, both 94 and 87 had standout qb's and o-line.

Sheppard graduated with my mother in '71, maroogreen... but I won't tell anyone haha

Yah, I hear those mid 70's teams were great... 44 games won in a row, two state championships in 3 straight tries... not too shabby...

Idk if it has to do with me being a little boy idolizing the players on the field at the time, but I would have to say the 94 team. I have the poster of them on my wall and the scores they posted that year... Phenominal...
