Access roads were closed because the storm surge was up to the dunes, but I have a friend who lives right on that seawall at JP Luby. We just walked down the beach and got in the water. The wind had blown quite a few of the waves into mush and it was very choppy and rough, but there were some strong rides out there. I caught one that had to last around 35-45 seconds (at least it seemed like that... but when you're out there your definition of time might not be your Casio's definition of time). We only lasted a little over an hour before we were too beat up to go any further. Fighting the current and the waves was tough.
