pretty much anywhere in midland or san antonio, but margaritas in san antonio is by far the best mexican food.

Taqueria Lindo in Lufkin is as authentic as it gets.. They barely speak english in there.. The totillas are home made and the fajita melt in your mouth! The queso is sooo smooth!! Yum Yum!!!
Tough choice betweens Ray's in Lufkin for the worlds best Hamburger or Lindo for the real deal!

There used to be a little place way down Leopard Street in Corpus, almost to Annaville, close to the mobile home dealership and trailer place, that was the best I had ever eaten. Don't remember the name, but I had only been there about three or four times and the last time was some six years ago. I heard they closed down, but don't know for sure.

Mi Tierra in San Antonio's pretty good, so is Moya's in Refugio and Otilia's in Houston (Memorial area). But Ma Crosby's in Ciudad Acuna gets my vote for the best overall if that place in CC is gone. They've slipped a bit in the last 10 years or so, but they're still on the same level with any of the other places I've mentioned.... and they're cheaper, too.

I'd rather pay $3.25 for good totilla's than $1 for so-so tortillas - just to make us more jealous of the good meal - were they beef or chicken fajitas?

When in Ft.Worth, check out Joe t Garcia's in the Stockyards area. They are a local landmark, and serve an excellent plate of food..

Panchito's in San Antonio . We just happened upon it when we got lost coming back from Seaworld and were trying to get to Downtown , noticed a parking lot full of cars midday and wanted to see what the fuss was about , waited about 30-40 min for a table but the wait was worth it great food and service .

my vote is a tie. when in san antonio i take turns at mi terra and margaritas. both are as good as i have ever had. btw, el chico will do in a pinch, but if thats the best you have ever had, you need to get out more often.

Taqueria Guadalajara, during Lent, has a great shrimp and asado cheese plate. Tons of shrimp with grilled peppers and onions. It's huge for the $6.50 price.

Ft. Worth - Joe T Garcia's
San Antonio - The Original Mexican Restaurant (on the riverwalk)

I've only had breakfast at Tejas, REALLY googd...

Gotta go with the grease, the flies and the small crazy-looking bathrooms at Don Bravos, though... good food, lotta food and not so pricey...
