I will go with Joe Allen's in Abilene any day of the week. That alone is worth the 2.5 hour drive to Abilene by itself.

The best Ribeye I have ever eaten was a Cajun Ribeye at Morton's in the River Center Mall in San Antone. It cost like 57 bucks but well worth it. They have a 48oz porterhouse that cost 84 bucks.

You order your Ribeye by the inch. 3/4", 1", 1 1/4". 1 1/2", and 1 3/4" all seasoned and Grilled over an open mesquite fire. Best I have ever had.

I must be crazy too. lol There have only been 3 steaks I have liked in my short lifetime. Texas Roadhouse's, Coachingislife's(my brother in law), and of coarse my hubby's (pirate44).

To stay with the Big Country theme...I also like Perrini's in Buffalo Gap...pretty good steak.....Now, If I can just get Wildstangs, Pero Chato, or Adidas to buy me a steak at one of these places.......The kickoff classic is coming soooonnnn.....hint:D

I love the ribeyes at The Longhorn on South Alameda in Corpus!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Had an 8 oz. on Saturday and it was perfect!! :) If you haven't been to this restaurant it is a must for steak lovers!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. There is another one on SPID - don't go there - IT IS THE PITS!!! :hairpunk: :hand: we need a thumbs down smiley
