Since I am hungry lets keep the food threads going.

I would say Country Inn in Somerville, Tx. They process their own beef there. The CFS there is almost 2 lbs!

:foul: :foul: Darn it! We had this thread a while back. I'm not upset at having another one, but now I'm going to be forced to either go to Hobo Depot for lunch tomorrow or cook CFS myself. :D

I know I am. But the nearest place that serves cfs sucks. It's a precooked sysco cfs, with terrible cream gravy. I want the goods!

The best one I have ever had was in a restaurant that I can't remember the name of. It was in Rockport and it was a ribeye that they had fried. It was amazing.

I agree with this statement 100%. They make the best T-Bones, Rib-eyes, and Sirloins too. For any of you that are EVER near Brenham at mealtime, you're missing out if you don't venture right on over to Somerville.

The next best CFS s Goodson's Cafe in Tomball.

Have eaten in Somerville and Brenham, seriously, Mary's in Strawn is by far the best!!! Babe's Chicken House is very good as well, relatives own the chain!!!

I'll have to try it. Wasn't that impressed with their chicken, though I know a lot of people who love it. Guess I'm just spoiled by Allen's in Sweetwater. ;)

Orsak's, in Fayettville Tx, had the best CFS, untill the owners sold the place.
Riscky's Barbeque, in Fort Worth Texas also has a good CFS.

I had the biggest, most greasy CFS known to man at the "world famous" Big T's in Kilgore. Known as well as the Kilgore College Rangerettes for their hospitality to all sorts from oil field workers to preachers with a heart attack soon to follow.

In East Texas, a close second and third would have to be Leon's Roadhouse and Mom's Biker Bar in Longview. These two places rival any good ol' American Biker Bar but add some prime cut CFS to their SUDS menu and unmistakeable ambiance.
