Update on Hutch

Sounds like if Dallas okays to take their students they are going to totally do away with Wilmer Hutchins High School. Gotta hate that for the kids. This was going to be a very good year for the Eagles athletics wise. I bet A. Maceo Smith's head man is FIRED up

We have them scheduled for a game. If they don't have a team I wonder what we are going to do. I hope they schedule another game instead of having two off weeks.

what most school will do is find another team that was scheduled to play them and try to work something out on off weeks

I hope we can figure something like that out. But it will be more difficult for us because we have our bye in week 9. So we cant really switch that around but im sure they will work something out.

hutch's head coach is a good man. He migh tbe without a job. I think there are a couple od DISD schools with head coaching vacancies though. Maybe he can slip into one of them

DCTF says each game they have scheduled, team will receive a forfeit win.

When Presidio decided not to play football in 2002 everyone on the schedule got the forfeit. Some were able to schedule another game, but we were not able to find anyone that wanted to play us.

I dont want a victory handed to us I hope we get a game we need to be getting ready for district. A handed over win isnt going to do anything for us. I guess another week of practice will help but I really wanted to play them.

After his offensive calls and great team last year I'm sure there would be many high schools that would love to have him. The problem is that it is getting late in the season to hire a new head coach. He may have to go on as an assistant somewhere for this year.

I think Marlin might be advaible for a game .I believe they had trouble getting their schedule filled .

Kennedale may have an open spot for someone! They only had 9 games scheduled last year and only played 8 because their game with Everman got cancelled

Yes, you are right about that. I feel bad for Coach Robinson. I hope he finds something.

Region 2 might be the weakest this year than it has been in several years and the loss of Hutch makes the region even weaker.
