Games Postponed due to Weather

Since we are running out of topics and we will have 42 days until Week -0- - I've been trying to think of topics, and with the Hurricane talk I thought of one...

What is the most unusual situation you remember in reference to a postponed game due to bad weather? Any sport, not just football..

1998, Cuero vs Luling - District game, played on a Monday night due to Tropical Storm Charlie dropping 21 inches of rain and flooding 1/2 of Cuero.

this is a great topic. i went to a class A playoff game in like 1984 in mt.vernon. the contacted officials went to vernon, about 6 or 7 hours away. game was played as scheduled. kickoff went down around 10:30 that night after a scheduled 7:30 kickoff. i remember the bands came out and did their halftime shows before the game started, and halftime lasted like 5 minutes.

like i said, there was no halftime , and i don't remember alot of penalties. but yea, it was late.

I bet the refs felt really stupid.
