The Matchbook Romance - If All Else Fails

A subdoed silence Undisturbed by the sound of her breath So carefully, brush her hair Back from her eyes In steady sequence one by one She slips away So close your eyes and sleep to dream I'm by your side No words to speak We'll set our course and make it through No matter how far I go My heart remains with you And I'm not sure what I'm looking for But its clear to see The purpose of my existence is laying here in front of me And if all else fails you can look up at the sky because its the same one that shines above you and I and if all else fails you can close your eyes and I'll be right beside you I'll be the one by your side No matter how far I go No matter how much this hurts I wanted you to know My heart remains with you

those are the lyrics

I'm liking the new song (prob his only released song) by Jason Aldean, "Hick Town".....he looks like a young John Anderson!

Jason Aldean - "Hick Town"

...You like the way that sounds?
Little Jimmy Jackson is jackin’ up his Bronco
He’s gonna lay a little rubber later on at the truck pull
All the girls are gettin’ pretty sprayin’ on the White Rain
Yeah they’re gonna get rowdy tonight down at the football game
Yeah

We let it rip when we got the money
Let it roll if we got the gas
It gets wild yeah but that’s the way we get down
In a Hicktown

Well you can see the neighbor’s butt crack nailing on his shingles
And his woman’s smokin’ Pall Malls watchin’ Laura Ingles
And Granny’s gettin’ lit she’s headin’ out to bingo
Yeah my buddies and me are goin’ muddin’ down on Blue Hole Road
You know You know

We let it rip when we got the money
Let it roll if we got the gas
It gets wild yeah but that’s the way we get down
In a Hicktown

We hear folks in the city party in Martini Bars
And they like to show off in their fancy foreign cars
Out here in the boondocks we buy beer at Amoco
And crank our Kraco speakers with that country radio

We let it rip when we got the money
Let it roll if we got the gas
It gets wild yeah but that’s the way we get down
Oh Oh We let it rip when we got the money
Let it roll if we got the gas
It’s buck wild yeah but that’s the way we get down
In a Hicktown
In a Hicktown
It’s the way we get down
In a Hicktown
Yeah in a Hicktown

Oh we ain’t finished yet
We got your country boys and your redneck girls
It’s the party heard round the world
Right here in Hicktown
Yeah In Hicktown
The whole town’s gettin’ down

Try and catch the video, it's great!

Pop - I dunno, but this is almost the 'country' category
Rap - don't pay attention anymore, but this Mike Jones dude is rippin' it up
Rock/Alternative/Whatever - Foo Fighters and that Chemical Romance band have good ones out
Country - (See 'Pop')

I don't listen to rap much, but when I scan on the radio the rap station will come in... one day I heard a beat and stuff that I really liked, and it was that song... then the next time I heard it the music to is was totally different, just the same words and singer etc... I liked the other version, but haven't heard it since...

That's why I do not listen to rap, there are 500 different version and they're a buncha frauds...

They make millions off of an album titled under their name, and they only sing in one of the songs on it, the rest are sung by up and coming friends of theirs ha jk...

what you are talking about is 2 mike jones songs... he uses a line from one as a hook for another.

"back then" the song has a little more of a pop beat
while "still tippin" has a very strong bassline beat.

No, I'm not talking about the 'still tippin' on fo-fo's' or however it goes song... I'm talking about the 'back then' one... there's one version where the instrumental part seems more rappy etc..., but in the version I liked the instrumental was totally different... I do not like the version that I've mostly heard played...

that's what I'm talking about...
