I remember during the 1960s the Arkansas Churches would post encouragemnent to the Arkansas Razorbacks when they played Texas. One baptist church in 1965 had something like All important things are spiritual - neverthless beat Texas! And in the big shootout in 1969 it read Darrell Royal do not cast your steers before swine. That same year a friend of my fathers was a newspaper reporter and as train passed by on his way to work in Alice and stopped but he noticed painted on a boxcar was Arkansas No. 1 - Beat Texas. He hurried to his office to get his camera but the train left before he could get back. He was going to put a picture of it in the paper with the heading Even the Railroads are for Arkansas! :)
