This is a quiz for people who know everything! I found out in a hurry that I didn't? These are not trick questions? They are straight questions with straight answers.

Post your answers...I will post all the correct answers later.

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year.? What are the only two perennial vegetables?

4. Name the only sport in which the ball is always in possession of the team on defense, and the offensive team can score without touching the ball?

5. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?

6. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle.? The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been cut in any way.? How did the pear get inside the bottle?

1.) In Fishing, whether it be BASS or some other fishing tournament broadcasted on ESPN2 or whateve have you, no one, even the fishermen, know who wins until the last weight in...

4.) In baseball, the defense has the ball... and if the pitcher walks 4 batters, the offense will score...

16 preceding runner put-out allows batter to reach first
17 sac bunt fails to advance runner
18 sac fly dropped
19 runner called out on appeal
20 error
21 four illegal pitches
22 if a game is suspended with a runner on first and that player is traded prior to the makeup, another player can take his place

re: #10 - how about when there is a tie during a "timed" game - don't they put a guy on 1st and 2nd with 1 out? I might be wrong but I think that happened to us this year

no you are thinking of when we were in the Flatonia Tournament, in a tournament if you go to extra innings, the last batter from your team who got out starts on 2nd base with 1 out and you play this way until you have a winner.

some of these ways mean the same thing, ex. fielders choice and force out at another base, and preceding runner put out allows batter to reach first is all the same thing, and a walk and intentional walk is still scored as BB(base on balls), a sac fly dropped would be an error, so would a passed ball 3rd strike( it would be scored K E2, strikeout with an error on the catcher.)

I have to ask, is it not also true that the Atlantic ocean grows wider by a matter of inches each year? And if this is fact, then wouldn't it also be true that the Statue of Liberty is also moving backwards? She does face the Atlantic Ocean doesn't she?
