1973, Being 10 years old in downtown Cuero. While my mom was getting her hair done, I was allowed to window shop up and down Main Street. Well, to my surprise the Band, drill team and cheerleaders came marching down the street and gave a pep rally for Cuero's first playoff game that year (this was the start of the 44 game winning streak). Everyone came outside and clapped and hollered. I had a front row seat! Fond memories of my early Gobbler days. I also remember at the end of the home games, us kids would run onto the field and rip apart the streamers on the goal posts. Ahhh, those were the days.
