It was a close vote. Some people think that they may have awarded it to London because they hosted it last in 1948 at a very difficult time after WW2 so it may have just been a reward type basis.

Yaya we have to remember that France was a key help to us during the two World Wars. Plus they gave us the Statue of Liberty, the cure for rabbies, Tony Parker and Mahinmi! :)

didn't a General in WWII say that he would rather have a german army in front of him than a french army behind him?? the french were push overs then and they still are.

But high we must also remember they sold us the Louisiana Purchase which included the State of LA which has turned out to be a bargain today.

we must also remember that we have thousands of military people buried over there. if it wasn't for America, the french would be speaking german right now.

Politics aside the French are very disappointed that they didn't get the Olympics. I hope hostilities don't extend to the Tour de France but New York was dropped early.

people who are intolerate of people from other nationalities....and the British


better learn how to run in the rain boys and girls....cause chances are your going to have to.....
