University of Texas 'Cram Session' scheduled for ESPNU on July 11th

With the completion of the 2004-05 athletic seasons, The University of Texas' baseball National Championship capped one of the best years in Texas history. Now, ESPNU wants to celebrate the Longhorns' season by airing a Texas 'Cram Session' on July 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. (Central).

The 'Cram Session' will include over 13 hours of Texas game footage from this season. It will start with Oklahoma's visit to Disch-Falk Field at 10:30 a.m. (Central) followed by footage from the 78th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. From there, the women's basketball team will hit the screen with their victory over top-ranked Tennessee.

Men's basketball will take over the broadcast at 4:30 p.m. (Central) with their 'Big Monday' upset of Oklahoma State. Then, it's on to Texas baseball's National-Championship clinching win over Florida in the second game of the CWS Championship Series. That game will lead into the final event of the evening, Texas football's 22-20 road victory over Arkansas.

During the 2004-05 seasons, Texas won two National Championships, four Big 12 Championships and had 50 athletes earn All-America honors. In addition, of the Longhorns' 20 men's and women's sports, UT qualified a team for NCAA postseason competition in 19 of them. Texas was also the only athletics program in the country to have its football team play in a bowl game, both of its basketball teams reach the NCAA tournament and its baseball and softball teams advance to the College World Series.

Texas 'Cram Session' schedule (July 11) (All times Central)
10:30 a.m. - Oklahoma @ Texas (Baseball)
1:30 p.m. - Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (Track)
3:00 p.m. Tennessee @ Texas (Women's Basketball)
4:30 p.m. Texas @ Oklahoma State (Basketball)

Or they could play the A&M game. Oh wait. Nevermind.

Anywho, they are playing the Texas/Arkansas since that's the only game we had on ESPN. (Although technically, ESPN in the sister station of ABC...actually, it's the daughter/son station of ABC...which would allow them to play any game we played on ABC.)

Was that too confusing?

I agree Aggie John. He wouldn't have fit RC's syle of offense. It worked for RC though so one can't argue with his choice. When Darrell Royal was at Texas he prefered having great defenses and running offenses with just enough passing when needed. One great passer he had in the early 60s was Tommy Wade who never got to start because of Royal's style which certainly worked for him and Texas. If Wade had got enough playing time I think he might have got to play in the NFL probably as a backup QB. He did rescue Texas against the Aggies in 1963 when the passing was needed but it might have been best for Wade at the time to have gone to a more passing type team. I remember Stanford in the 60s were known for great passing. They didn't have the success that Texas had but they were entertaining to the fans.
