I heard on the news this morning that Sandra Day O'connar is retiring from the supreme court.

The dentist I went to for years when I was growing up attended high school with Justice O'Connor.

not to long ago, San Antonio's Northside ISD was expanding. Well, in coming up with the name for a school, they had a list... mostly of Justices past and present from the supreme court. they chose the name Sandra Day O'Connor as the name for their new high school. Well, when the high School opened up and they had the dedication ceremony, the namesake of the HS showed up, and signed a proclamation of some sorts. I was told all this by their secretary. Sandra Day O'Connor, by all accounts, is one class act of a woman, who, by the way, is also A TEXAN.


To sum up, if you dont wanna read that paragraph, when the school was named after her in SA, she showed up to the ceremony.

there is a HS named John Jay in SA as well... hmmmm...
