This is about a 41.9 mile team time trials today and it is expected that Lance will make a move to try to get the yellow jersey. The first team has made it in a time of 1hr4min38seconds. Lance and his team will be the next to last to try for it. Go Lance Go!

Man those comentators are great! Some of the ESPN and FSN sports announcers especially some of the ones that cover women's soccer and softball and basketball and should be watching and learning because they too often get to talking about something away from the game and keep talking even when a critical goal or home run is going on and are very distracting. They need to learn to keep it with the game. Even Howard Cossell knew when to stop talking when something happened and would say more on that later. These guys do a magnificient job on the Tour de France coverage.

Lance will get to wear the yellow jersey. His team finished two seconds ahead of Zambriski's team. The bad news is that Zambriski was involved in a crash.

Lance is in first place now and is 55 seconds ahead of second place which is his own teammate George Hincapie. Also his team Discovery Channel Team is now two seconds ahead of Team CSC in overall team standings by two seconds.
It is a shame about David Zambriskie's accident. Let's hope his injuries are not serious. He was able to finish the race today though. The real shame is that his team had the lead after five stages of the race before the crash.

Lance is well ahead of his top three considered main rivals as of today. He is 1min21sec ahead of Alexander Vinakopov and 1min26sec ahead of Ivan Basso and 1min36 sec ahead of Jan Ullrich. Of course an unknown could be a factor that emerges later.
