Scatchy reports coming in say that the Sundevils lost the 17 & U final Championship game and placed second Nationally at the big tournament in Florida. Last year this same team won the 16 & U Select team National Championship. Broc Haymon who will pitch along with Kevin Angelle as Seniors for the Cardinals next year; pitched most of the final Championship contest. Angelle and Haymon both of Bridge City HS are in the Sundevil rotation with several ace 4A & 5A pitchers from the Golden Triangle-- hurling for this premium travel team.
This was Brocs' first attempt to pitch multiple innings after an operation. He had only pitched one inning per game during this recent recovery period.
