This avoided a shutdown unlike what pro hockey suffered. Whew! Charles Barkley said that the players and owners needed to reach an agreement to help some of the older players who helped made the game today what it is today and helped the modern players make the money. They didn't make what players did today and even though Shaq is a great guy and helped one of the former stars with burial expenses it is a disgrace to the NBA that it had to happen with all the players and owners making millions that they couldn't at least give a little financial assistance to the former players.
