There is all this talk on here about how good Brett is but I played with him and Todd Knutson and I think Todd was much better. Brett is not as big, strong or as fast as Todd and Brett's knee surgery won't help him out any. One other thing is that Brett won't have any receivers like Andy Blount. Brett's receivers have "better things to do than work on football."

Did Blount receive any scholarship offers? If so, what school?

Blount is going to North Texas and playing both football and basketball. They bulked him up for football and he played at tight end mainly. He did score a TD in their bowl game. It was pretty neat watching a guy I played with for a couple of years score a TD on national television.

Glad to hear of his good fortune. Saw him play in the Gatesville/Bandera game in 2000. Was/is a great receiver, but was pretty well shut down by the Hornet's defense in that particular game. I know the NTU Eagles are glad to have him.
