What a game...

You may say 'well they wouldn't have won if that Tulane player wouldn't have thrown the ball away'... But coming down from 7-0 set them up for the lucky break...

Good job Bears!

Wow, Tulane must hate Texas teams now...

Tulane had a horrible, horrible CWS for them being the consensus #1 overall seed and being #1 a good portion of the year.

I like Baylor winning because it shows the rest of the country how tough the Big 12 is and how the SEC isn't so special.

I don't like Baylor winning for the simple fact that I do not want to play them again for a few reasons.

Yah, Baylor really is a tough team, gunna be tough for the Horns... but as they say 'may the best team win', and if it's Baylor, so be it... just glad the school's athletics have done so well after the tragedy a couple of years back...

Go Bears, until you step on the field with the Horns, that is...

Nice comeback for the Bears!! I too thought they were done down 7 runs, but they proved me & everyone else that it really isn't over 'til its over! :D

No lead is safe so the Horns need to just score whenever they can against this team!!

:cheerl: HOOK 'EM HORNS!!! :cheerl:

Isn't so special? (http://www.theadvocatemarketing.com/e-commerce-solutions-catalog1.0.html.0.html) Any conference would love to be so "lucky"... much less any one team.

what a wonderful time to be a baylor bear! we are showing people how to do alot with the 2nd smallest athletic budget in the big 12, while a&m is showing people how to do nothing with a whole lot.

Total Athletic Spending:

UT: $70.6M
NU: $55.8M
OU: $47.8M
OSU: $45.3M
A&M: $43.8M
TT: $41.2M
MU: $38.7M
CU: $36.8M
KSU: $35.8M
KU: $34.8M
BU: $28.1M
ISU: $27.8M

go bears, slay the beast!

First off, I know Tulane isn't in the SEC. Going back to my original post, it never mentioned Tulane and SEC in the same context....it just said how the SEC isn't so special. If you remember, the SEC got, what 9 teams in the tournament? Texas as beaten 2 of them--Ole Miss and Arkansas-- to get to the CWS and could possibly beat a third, that being Florida, should they meet in the championship series.

Next, that's nice that LSU has those championships. But Texas has 5 NC's (1949, 1950, 1975, 1983, and 2002.) as well, the most wins in the CWS with 75, and was rated as the #1 overall team with the most tradition as far as collegiate baseball is concerned. USC, who has the most National Championships, was rated 2nd.

Just showing that the SEC deserves a little more respect than you were giving. Ok, Texas has 5 championships in the last 56 years. LSU has 5 in the last 14.

But overall, I'll concede, Texas does have a good baseball tradition.
