Female Tennis Grunting?

LONDON (AFP) - Grunting noises made by female tennis players as they strike the ball are getting out of hand, and rules should be changed to crack down on the practice.

One of the loudest of the modern grunters is defending women's champion Maria Sharapova, who, according to the paper, makes a 100-decibel grunt, roughly the same volume as small aircraft landing nearby.

she isnt that bad. now Aranxta Sanchez-Vicario, that woman could grunt. When she played Seles circa 96 in Wimbeldon, it was one of the loudest matches ive ever heard.

i have no problem w/ the grunting...however if you would, please site the news corporation who claimed the "100 decibel grunt" with a website. because i can guaruntee you, have heard and actual jet landing and take off that it is humanly impossible to be that loud, especially in no more than just a grunt, let alone an individual yelling.

I always thought Monica Seles was the LOUDEST grunters!! Man,that high pitched grunt. I had to turn the TV down because the neighbors thought something was going on!!! LOL!!!
