im not sure if the final standings are out, but Canyon will win for the 3rd consecutive year by a good margin. Canyon has yet again set the bar high, proving to be one of the elite high schools in the state. Go eagles:clap:

Top to bottom, Canyon's athletics program can't be beat.
5 spots go to Region I- Canyon, Abilene Wylie, Decatur, Graham & Glen Rose.

This poll would be A LOT different if it included 3A tennis as well. Wylie won state in team tennis, girls singles, girls doubles, as well as having a boys doubles team qualify for the state tournament.

The competition between Texas and Texas A&M is called the State Farm Lone Star Showdown. I think the Lone Star Cup standings refers to which high school teams do the best overall in all sports. For example if a team is runnerup in several sports state championship games it may be rated higher than a team that may have won a state championship. It depends on all sports.

does anyone know the point system on this because i dont see how Cuero does not make top 10, we were state finalist in football, 2nd and 3rd place at the state powerlifting meet, 4th at the state golf tournament, and state champions in track and field.

PL is not included in the rankings. It's governed by the Tex. HS PL Assn. not UIL.

Be interesting to see what sports are included in the competition in order to see what is not included.

It is strange that power lifting and tennis team sports aren't listed.
