The Ole Miss pitcher is hitting all his spots. He looks pretty good.

He's workin' it pretty good, they're just not biting on the stuff that he wants them to bite on...

Bottom of the 6th, Texas still 2-0. Adrian's getting tired. Around 110 pitches already.

Whew! Texas finally brings in a reliever. Adrian has to have been up around 135 pitches or so. 3-1 , 2 outs.

Cody gets the last batter to ground out. Ole Miss left two on base. 7th inning stretch, Texas 3-1.

going to the top of the ninth, Texas still leading 3-1. Last chance for Ole Miss, but they have the heart of the order coming to bat.

Adrian did everything the team could have asked him to do. He pitched his way out of a couple of jams and kept Texas in the game. I believe he threw a personal record number of pitches today. He threw someting like 130 in the 2002 semifinal, but I think he went over that today.

Congrats to the Horns, and lets do it again tomorrow.

Congrats to Alaniz and the Longhorns! I know Sinton must be so proud, I know I am, just having lost 3A football to such a tremendous athlete.

Does it really matter how many pitches he threw in the State Semifinal??? He is pitching on ESPN for the Horns!!! Like the Ole Miss coach, he seems to be coaching is butt off!!! Looks that way anyway, he is in all the discussions, goes out to the mound, etc... Hands on to say the least. Go Horns, represent the Big 12!!!

no, Wylie was 2001. 2002 was against Canyon.

Boone pitched a pretty good game, then they went with Cox, and he gave 'em up.

I remember that semis against Canyon. Worse behind the plate empire ever because he was calling balls that Adrian was throwing over the corner when every other umpire was calling strikes. He had never thrown that many balls before and even the good folks from Lorena who beat Sinton the next day said they hoped that umpire wasn't behind the plate for their games. He had to pitch extra innings so he wasn't available the next day to help relieve Jason. To this day I feel that umpire may have cost us the state not that I am downplaying Lorena's great effort. I also think that game may have caused Adrian to have to sit out a year. Hopefully the Horns can win today. A good job by Adrian and the Horns agains Mississippi who is also a good team.
