Freshmen playing varsity

Any one know of any freshmen contributing to a varsity team. WE just moved one up to play LB bc of injuries. He is pretty good, but we will see if he is ready for varsity.

Sometimes there is a stud that can play on varsity as a fresh. It has been my experience that if you have one up on Varsity then they should only be there if the are the difference in you making the playoffs. Also if you are needing to do this you are probably not very good anyway. Find a way to leave him down and find ways to not move him up. Sense only makes sense.

I was asked to play varsity for the play-offs my freshman year...but I said no cause basketball was getting ready to start...

I'm aware of the situation that Fanatic was speaking of...the problem is not that the team is not good defensively, the problem is depth. That particular defense has given up an average of about 230 a game....but just not deep. The kid is about 6'2" and 190# and runs a 4.6. He's definitely not gonna be a burden to the varsity
