I've never been a fan of Elk myself either - I did eat the "backstrap" chicken fried but anything with lots of cream gravy is good :D

I know I know. It was the best picture I could find that had CFS, mashed potatoes, and gravy all in a picture size that wasn't too small or too big. It's not even pretty celery either. ;)

I actually found a bunch of pictures of CFS with french fries. Isn't it a sin to not have CFS with mashed potatoes?

I had moose cooked like that and smothered (kind of like Swiss steak). The moose didn't impress me either. (I would have been more impressed seeing it alive and walking around).;)

here's a re-post of the biggest CFS i've seen. i shouldnt have gotten cheese put on it though. the size is misleading since it is really 2 pieces overlapping by about 3 or 4 inches:eek:

oh yeah, there's no yucky celery on them there plates

that's my younger brother in the background

Same here. Both parents from La. I was born in Texas.

Best gumbo? I'd have to sample it to see. :D Both my family and my "family-in-law" make some mean gumbos! ;)
