I noticed that Cuero beat them at the Victoria 7 on 7 this past weekend... How long of a haul is that?
Anyway, straight from the Cuero Record website:
- Up against some fairly large schools, Cuero’s Gobbler 7-on-7 team won its pool Saturday in Victoria but ran out of steam in the state-playoff championship games.
The Gobblers defeated Gregory-Portland, Anahuac, and El Campo in their pool.
But with only 10 players on the Cuero team, the Gobblers were outnumbered against Houston Cy Fair and lost 38-20.
Saturday, June 11, the Gobblers will travel to Austin Lake Travis for another 7-on-7 state qualifiers tournament. Games are scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
On Saturday, June 18, the Gobblers will enter the Alamo Heights tournament in San Antonio. They are scheduled to meet Hays, Brady and Austin High School in their pool. The first game is set for 9:30 a.m.
