Just my take of the game.

Burnet is a beter TEAM. They won and I hope they win it all. They made some mistakes, BUT they were physical mistakes(such as ints). Wharton on the other had had the more talented team hands down. They had between 6-9 turnovers with several of them being mental(such as fielding a kickoff 5 yards deep in the endzone and not recovering another kickoff like it was a punt, trying to pick up a punt that got by us). This game was decided in turnovers. I think it is funny to listen to people from both schools make comments about the game that are based on no football knowledge. This is just my opinion of the game, so feel free to put your comments up here to(not that most of you would not anyway lol)

Good luck to Burnet, they have the best sportsmanship I have seen out of a high school team.

On another note, I don't know who the little boy is who works out with you guys, but dang, keep him doing whatever he is doing. He is gonna be very good one day! We enjoyed watching him play with the kids before warm ups and then when he worked out with you guys, we were astonished. He did EVERYTHING you guys did, for the most part. (he slacked on a couple of things wink ) Is he a coaches son or a players little brother?

Burnet Wharton
First Downs 30 22
Rushings 24-178 35-253
Passing 235 178
Total Yards 413 431
Passings 14-30-3 13-29-1
Punts 3-44.3 3-31.7
Fumbles 1-0 5-3
Penalties 3-34 3-25

Thanks Tigers, for all your hard work. You came together as a team for the Rice Game. Playing class athletes like Rice, Cuero, and Burnet was a great learning experience that will carry over to the 2004 Tigers.

Even though the first play does not count as a turnover it is, its a turnover plus 2 points. Not recovering a kickoff does not count either but that is a turnover to.

Looser.Wrong my friend, you did say it. But I did the same thing you did to me. When you quote someone don't omit parts to make people look bad. If you want to quote me, put the whole quote there.

might want to ask wharton's special team coach!!!First of all, this isn't the NFL. There isn't a special teams coach. All of the coaches help out with special teams. Second of all, do you think maybe that the coaches had nothing to do with the mental mistakes of the athletes.
