NSU vs Rice

Northwestern State University Baseball team is pitted to play the Rice Owls in the Baton Rouge Regional Tournament. This is their first trip since 1994. They received an at-large invitation. Congrats Demons and Fork 'Em!

I was surprised the Deamons got bounced from the Southland Conf. tourney. They've got a strong team this year and could pull an upset down in Baton Rouge. Rice is a tough test but it's double elimination so even a first game loss won't hurt them. Just as long as somebody beats LSU. LSU gets a regional tournament every year, just like Texas. The committee who heads up selection on regional tourney sites must be paid off by the mayors of Austin and Baton Rouge.
