BC 2, Columbus 0
Going into the bottom of the 4th.

BC junior lefty (Angel?) struck out side in 2nd & 4th. 8 K's in all so far and has not given up a hit.

Still 2-0 going into the bottom of the 5th. Angel (I hope that's how his name is spelled) struck out the side again. That gives him 11 for the game so far.

I just got back from the game. BC and Columbus are pretty even teams. BC jumped on Columbus in the first then Columbus settled down and it became a pitchers dule. Columbus loaded the basses in the 6th with two outs and Angelle threw some high heat striking out the batter. It was a good game good luck to both teams tomorrow.

Now RBARKER that was not a close game LOL Kevin Angelle dominated with 16 Ks and pitched a no hitter. BC however did not have their usual barrage at bat--- with only 6 hits, I believe.

RBARKER, I do agree that Columbus has a good team with BC was only the fourth team to beat them this year. At this level all the teams are good teams! It's just a matter of who can hit who and who can't hit the others pitching.

Sorry OC but 2-0 is a close game especially with all the runs coming in the first inning. Angelle sure was dominate. BC didn't have their usual barrage at bat for the same reason that Columbus didn't--the reason it was such a close game.

Anybody have a link to directions to the stadium where they will play on Saturday? Or please post directions. I think it is somewhere around Spring? Thanks.

This is what I know: You take 1960 west to Ella Blvd. You turn left and the school is on Ella . It is Spring Westfield.

I wonder who BC will pitch-- Vincent? Stringer? Stevens? I would guess Stevens: he had a no-hitter last time.

What about Columbus who will they put on the mound?

To Huper: Wish you would have been there Columbus was baffled by the pitching. They could not get any hits. The best they could do was get a walk followed by a hit batter-- then Coach Bryant wisely put their best hitter on base and that allowed Angelle to strike out a weaker batter. That was their grand showing for the night.
I am sorry but when you get four hits in the first inning and two scores; then you don't have to try to steal bases, bunt or anything. You just play conservative ball and let your proven Ace basically strike them out till the games finishes out.

This is the best info that I can find on Spring Westfield.. Hopefully their baseball stadium is located at the school, and not off campus..
