I'm still not sure about Jerry Rice because he can still be productive, but people like Ricky Henderson just need to go.

Who is you athelete that needs to hang up the cleats?:thinking:

If they are having fun and enjoying playing the game I say they play till THEY decide to quit. Now what I do not like is a guy who retires, then comes back, retires again and then comes back again.

right on. let em play as long as they want. im glad Nolan Ryan played as long as he did. and im happy michael jordan returned to basketball after be left the first time, mainly becasue i saw it as just a sobatical. but after his second retirement, he should have sayed out.

There are exceptions though. We have to remember that George Foreman had been retired for several years and yet he came back at age 45 to win the World Heavy Weight Division in Boxing! Remarkable! :eek:
