Rockdale defeated Splendora 5-1 this afternoon in Bryan. The Lady Tigers advance to Regional Finals, but not sure who they are playing.

Not by any stretch a LaGrange fan, but it's nice to see them take out (as we have all been told) a very special select ball trained squad. Especially one who so little have scored against. Looks like LaGrange had no problem scoring 18 runs in less then two full games against the select trained BC coach. Like I said I'm not a fan of LaGrange, don't appreciate some of the antics they have dished out... but maybe their coach, you know the one that some had put down as being second rate decided to play these games hard enough to annihilate Bridge City.

Seems that the LaGrange coach scouts opposing teams very well, and I think she has the softball's required to make some controversial decisions. She gave BC more of a chance then I would have thought... I figured she'd take them in one and be done with it. Only 5 innings would have left her girls in an excellent postion for next week. But I guess running around the bases 18 times in two days can be considered conditioning.

Way to go unranked LaGrange, if nothing else you showed the local softball community that you never take anything for granted. Appears that as soon as you do you're dead in the water.
