Wylie and Cuero state titles...its kinda freaky!

In the fall of 2000, Wylie lost in the Div 1 state finals to Gatesville on a late 4th quarter TD 14-10. Later that year, Wylie went on to win state in Boys Track in the spring of 2001.

In the fall of 2004, Cuero loses to Wylie in the Div 1 state finals on a last second field goal 17-14. In the spring of 2005, Cuero wins state in Boys Track.

Cuero had a DANG good football team.
Wylie was just a wee bit better on that day. Now if Cuero would have had that anchor leg on the relays playing football. . .

One thing that it tells me is that good football and good track often go hand in hand.........I think that if more schools emphasized their track program that their football program would benefit greatly.

With this year's state football appearance, state golf tourney appearance and state track championship, we need a new accomplishments board...

I think my cousin is the mascot at FOCKDALE he lives there and he is a GAYLORD.
Track and powerlifting are what good fotball teams do in the off season. Well most of em. For some reason Wylie doesnt powerlift.

I also read in the Advocate that a girl from Cuero, believe her last name is Moore, won first prize in the journalism area of UIL comp... maybe it was headlines, I forget...

Gotta add another one to the list of '05 accomplishments to go along with the '04 accomplishment...

Also, our bball team made the playoffs...
