Pearsall wins game 1 in a close controversial game 6 to 5. Sinton gets them in Sinton tomorrow in Sinton but on last play Pearsall injured our catcher which could have bad results.

LH Panther Mom -- You have a tie for game 2, but I'm assuming that Liberty Hill beat Yoakum in game 2???

:weeping: Unfortunately, I have to attend my youngest's little league game, so I'll be depending on calls to get me through our game.

This was such a good game. Sinton had Pearsall on the ropes and couldn't deliver the TKO!! :(

Going into the bottom of the 7th Sinton was leading 5-1.

Pearsall's lead off batter (7 hole) hit a single up the middle and advanced to 2nd on an error by the centerfielder.

Next batter hit it right to our 1st baseman, batter out, runner advances to 3rd, 1 out.

Next batter got a single to right field to score a run. Throw to home was very close. Coach protested the call (I didn't see it) Sinton fans believed the runner was out! Score 5-2, 1 out, runner on first, top of the order up for Pearsall.

1st pitch, grounded to 3rd, third base person trys for the out at 2nd, not in time, runners on 1st & 2nd.

Marissa Adame (their best hitter) up to bat, first pitch and she crushes it to left field - 3 run home run, game tied 5-5, 1 out. :( Pandominium (sp?) breaks out in Pearsall.

Next batter runs the count to 2-2, grounder to 3rd base, bobble, runner safe at 1st on the error. :weeping:

Next batter, 1st pitch, fly out to left field for out #2. Next batter up, draws a walk, runners at 1st & 2nd.

Next batter up got 2 quick strikes, ball one, passed ball, runners advance, foul tip, ball 2, foul tip, the tension mounts, ball 3 ... appears to hit the batter or come off the bat  runner scores, no protest, umpire calls the game. Confusion & disbelief from Sinton fans. Pearsall fans happy, Sinton fans eager to get home for games 2 & 3!!

Hell of a game! Its tough to lose any kind of game, but these kind of games are especially tough. Our girls were in good spirits and couldn't wait to get back home. Field conditions were horrible.

Sadly some parents from Pearsall were confrontational with some Sinton fans and things got a little out of hand. :o Luckly cooler heads prevailed and nothing "major" happened!!

If you are in the area tomorrow around 3 p.m., come out and support THE SINTON LADY PIRATES!!! :cheerl:

I agree Pirate4State. Let's really support our girls because they need us! We may have lost our catcher so we will be at a big disadvantage so let's have a good crowd there to support them and we can have the crowd advantage.
