They still have a drive in here. And I've been to a few restaurants lately that had the jukeboxes at your table.

17....I guess that makes me older than dirt!:(

Midland is in the process of building a drive-in right now...should be ready to go in the next few weeks!

I remembered 12 of them. Actually I still once in a while eat at cafes that have table juckboxes. I also wondered if they met drive in movies or places where you eat sort of like sonic burgers. And even as late as the mid 80s I once had to be on a party line. :)

i remember people getting on to me and my brothers for listening in on the phone conversations while we were on a party line. as for the drive-inns, i remember going to the movies and drive-inn restaurants. Not including Sonic, there are still a few in Corpus Christi. the most known is Snapkas which is about as authentic as you can get and has been around for decades..

Don't be offended by being called honest, and no way we can be old AND innocent. It just hurts a little to know I'm not just old, but older than dirt! I scored a 17 and had a lot of fun remembering! Some of our small towns DO still keep some of the "old" stuff around--still works, haven't gotten around to changing it. Thanks for the memories!

the innocent and honest part was because so many of you old people...er..i mean, youthly challenged, have been duped by those terrible phone scam people. certainly not to offend anyone. my apologies are in order i guess. please forgive me. :D

OK, you have forced me to say it...I think I only scored 13 because of either a memory lapse or I was maybe raised a little to far in the country. ;)

Remember all of them. I remember my sister and I going to the Stanley Theatre here in Luling, Dad would give us a quarter each and we could get in show , buy a coke and popcorn. They showed news reel before feature and a cartoon in between features. I guess when your 57 you remember a lot about your youth, back then we played all over the neighborhood all day long and our parents never had to worry about us.
