Yeah, I saw some of those theads on TFF. No worries though. The 190 roadbed is fairly safe. Still it pays to be careful.

I went a couple of weeks ago and my buddy and I came home with a limit of 25 each. Man, that took a long time to clean all of those.:D

Do you use binoculars like those folks up in the Hill Country?

I've always wanted to do that, but the stripers were hitting the bottom of our boat left and right at the time, so we stuck with that...

If the water's calm I use my ears because you can hear them hitting the top of the water. If it's rough then I usually start bird watching. I've never had much luck using binoculars, but then again I don't have a really nice pair like I'm sure some folks do.

Hey Bro: We went on Lake Livingston this week and caught tons of striped bass. Went below the dam under the cable and used a white gig. They lowered the water level and it is boiling with striped and white bass. Stay to the right of the cable and about thirty yards off of the rigth side of the dam. We limited out in forty minutes with sixteen bass. GOOD LUCK

Thanks.

I think I'm going to go to the 190 roadbed. I've never fished below the dam, but I've heard great things. Those boat ramps look waaaaaay too steep.
