And I heard that Region 3 was the greatest thing in the world...but by some miracle of God District 4-3A won 3 out of the 4 titles (boys singles from Clyde, both girls events from Wylie) and Levelland won boys doubles to give Region 1 a clean sweep at the state tennis tournament.

I would like to also throw in that Sweetwater and Snyder girls are competing in the state golf tournament, and the Sweetwater boys track team could bring home a state championship

Oh now, come on....tennis deserves some recognition. It's kind of like golf, it's a very hard sport to be good at. Anyone with a little skill can play football and basketball. Congratulation to Wylie and Clyde on the titles...very impressive.

Congrats to Karen Zunker of Vernon who won the silver medal in women's doubles tennis. She and her partner were beat by the Wylie team.

Yes that was two Region I teams battleing for the state championship in womens doubles tennis.

Congrats to the Wylie pair on truley a dominate performace this year.

Who's the favorites in Region 1 for softball? I know a coach at West which had moved to region 1 from Region 3 with realignment and I thought they were supposed to be pretty good, but I heard they got beat. Not sure by who (whom).
