A Forney freshman football player suffered from a crushing injury. In saturday's scrimmage he broke his 3rd vertabrae and craked his 4th. He was able to get up on his own, go out that night and work out monday morning when he starting have pains in his back. Doctors said it was a miracle there wasn't more damage, it was the same injury that Christopher Reeve's suffered only less severe. He is currently in the hospital being worked on. I heard he will have to be in some kind of brace for 6 months to a year.:(

Sounds like one tough kid, possibly too tough for his own good. It's amazing what punishment the body can take. Good luck to him and God's speed in recovery. I assume football is NOT in his future!

He was back up at school during athletics, his mom was up there so they probably just had to talk with the coaches and trainer about stuff,
