One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his
sweatshirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room,
he shouted to me, "What setting do I use on the washing machine?"
"It depends," I replied. "What does it say on your shirt?"
He yelled back, "University of Oklahoma."

And they say blondes are dumb...

;) :D

real cute, panther fan! I've played dumb with my wife to get out of washing clothes and it worked, just like with you. So who's the dumb one?
the title of your thread doesn't make sense. Husbands and laundry is like john Kerry and George W trying to make a joint decision.
Seriously, though, i've ruined enough clothes that my wife has banned me from touching the washer or dryer.

I've done the same thing to mine. Not because he ruined his own clothes, but because he ruined mine. I'm starting to see the logic in why you guys do this. ;)

LOL...Actually, my husband doesn't even know where the laundry room is in our house.:D

hmmm....maybe if I put the washer where the sofa end table goes that holds his remote control:thinking:   :D

I wish I would have know that little tid bit a few years ago. I seem to do most of the laundry in our house since the "little one" arrived a year ago!! It's too late to save me now... I am in too deep!!

Who knew it was a trick??
I guess I'm the dumb one after all... I still wash the clothes strictly out of preservation.. My DH(darling husband) is one of the one's that has been permanently banned from the laundry room!

I'll have you know that I:
Cook
Wash Dishes
Wash Clothes
Vacuum
Clean toilets/tubs
Mop
Take out the garbage
...and generally help out whenever/however needed.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

(And I'll bet I'm not the only one on here that does!)

I knew you were one of "us".

BTW, I didn't leave those things out. I just figured those were expected, regardless.

Certainly! All that other stuff doesn't pay the bills. I don't regularly work that many hours, so I'm able to help more. However, when my work schedule picks up, my housework level goes south.

I don't know who was the dumber one, the husband or the wife.

My point, I was digging a pond in the backyard and my husband took pity on my pitiful attempt to dig a hole. He took over and did it for me. Now I could have dug the hole if I had wanted to, but he is bigger, stronger and more experienced, so why not let him do it and feel macho about it at the same time.

Oh yeah...he also does his own laundry and cleans the kitchen.
