BU97 was just wondering if you could fill us in on how the 2005 season looks for the tigers. How did the offseason go,i also heard that they got a few transfers in that might help that defense. If they can get a couple of kids to step up what do you think of play ing the Flourinor kid at safety?

We will know a little more once we start playing 7 on 7. We have played the last two weeks, but that was without the baseball/ track guys. We will have all of our people together next week, so we'll see then. Obviously defense is a big priority, but as young as we were last year on D we should be much improved. Only gave up 2 TDs in three games in last weeks games. As for the transfers, one has already moved back and we'll have to see about the other when we get into pads in the fall.

Fleurinor will likely keep playing LB until he gets to A&M, we just don't have enought LBs to play him in the secondary.

BU97 thanks for the info,i know the defense was young but if they ever come around you guys can get to the region 4 championship and after that who knows? Will you please post any 7-7 results and kids who you might think will help the tigers in the fall.

You can all kiss my rear but the most talent I've seen on one field the last couple of years has been wearing Wharton gear...

Can't wait for our guys to play your guys again this year, the last two have been GREAT...

The most recent series is tied at 1-1.... gunna get broken..... by who?

Last week we beat Industrial 26-14, Palacios "B" 28-0 and Ganado "A" 21-7. Shelton and Lunford both had two picks. This week we will be without the track guys but maybe some of the baseball kids might go. Next week we'll likely have all of the kids that will play at the SQT in Victoria and BF Terry.

Combined scores from the last two years in 87-85! We may have to bring in more seats for this one b/c Tiger Stadium is not big enough!

Ha, yah, atleast it's mostly a straight ride once you hit Victor-I-A...

Nah, Miller moved on...

Where did he go? I figured that he must have left b/c I didn't see him at the Regional Track Meet.

What grade is this kid in and is he already committed to A&M. Was a pretty good athlete when I played him back in 03.

Are you asking about 03 or last year? In 03 he was the soph LB wearing #31. I believe that he had a INT against you guys

Gobbla2001 i don't care where the game is played Wharton takes the game this year. They will start the year 2-0 with wins over Cuero & El Campo.

Cuero will be tough, but the tigers have them at home and i think they can win.As far as ElCampo they lost too much fire power losing chad long, and arkieth brown and the tigers play them early in the season.Like i keep saying the tigers on offense look solid ,and as far as the defense this may be the year the defense gets it together, better watch out region4 this team could be a power house team this year.

I sure hope that gato is right, but we have too many holes to fill to be proclaiming ourselves the automatic winner over EC and Cuero. We just want to keep from losing both again this year. We have to worry about our self before we can start looking to the 'birds and gobblers.

How is Wharton going to do against Needville, Columbia, Sweeny and Stafford? That is what you should really be thinking about. I think its safe to say they can handle Palacious.

BU97 the reason i am so hopeful with this year team, not just because of the kids coming back but the kids coming up.I saw the jv team play cuero jv team last they had 30= players wharton jv team came out with 18 or so kids. The tiger jv team played with alot of heart i know those kids were wore out from playing both ways and if i'm not mistaken that game ended in a tie with alot of points on the score board. That jv team has some kids that get after it and they will play a major role on the varsity team this year.

We tied Cuero 38-38, that was our only non win of the season. We are trying not to develop a big head complex. After all we were one and done in the playoffs!!!

As for district, I look for it to be tougher than last year. I'd pick WC as the favorite. Needville and Sweeny are questions right now since they have new coaching staffs.
