Softball---Bridge City 4 Pollock Central Lufkin 1
It was a good night for softball. Two good teams met and determined the outcome; both with good sportsmanship displayed. Both had only two Seniors and will again be ready for new year.
Well BC is now 103 runs to 2 since the started in District play--that's adding in a 3-0 win over Crosby and a 1-0 win over Dayton, in 4A playoff team warmup games.
Shepherd and BC should be a great game next week. Samantha Cummins one of the great young Ladies of softball and a star Pitcher for the Montgomery County Elite Gold team will try her skills against BC. Shepherd has two other top Select team players from 18 & U and 16 & U that anchor their squad. Coach Mark Meng came over from Grapeland TX and has done wonders with this team. They have had some very impressive wins this season thusfar.
