I thought of this from an earlier thread... Holmes Fan was talking about the playoffs and said something about Poteet making it. The only Poteet I'd ever heard of is just south of San Antonio (where they have the Strawberry Festival).

Examples: There's a 5A San Antonio TAFT HS and a 2A TAFT, TX. Also, 5A Corpus Christi CARROLL and 5A Southlake CARROLL. I think there's also an Austin High in Austin and an Austin in Houston and El Paso if I'm not mistaken.

Know of any others?

Another off the top of my head, is Bowie High in Austin & Bowie, TX.

Galena Park and Galena Park North Shore??? Are those two separates?

There's Corpus Christi King, Houston C.E. King, and Kingsville H.M King.... S.A. Memorial, Victoria Memorial, and Houston Spring Branch Memorial....Katy Taylor and Alief Taylor.

Yes...Alief ISD is on the west side of Houston. The schools are Elsik, Hastings, and Taylor.

Those are 2 schools in the same school district...

Down here in the Valley there are a few:

PSJA Memorial, Mission Memorial, McAllen Memorial
Edinburg North, PSJA North

I just thought that Galena Park was the district name....like in Baytown, there is Goose Creek ISD, but there is no Goose Creek High School anywhere around here...

While I was watching the Merryville, La softball game Saturday a nice lady next to me was telling all about her town. One thing she said is that Merryville, LA is the only town with a post office in the USA that has the name Merryville.
It would be fun to know how many 3A towns are the only ones with their specific name in the USA....
