Ross throws 4th straight no-hitter
Collinsville sophomore leads team to 4-0 win

COLLINSVILLE - Brittaney Ross continued her incredible streak of dominant starts Saturday, tossing her fourth-straight no-hitter as the Collinsville Lady Pirates topped Tom Bean 4-0 in a non-district softball game.
Ross (9-2) struck out eight and issued no walks in seven innings of work against the Lady Cats, who fell to 21-5 on the year.
Over her past four starts, Ross has throw 22 innings while striking out 41 batters and walking on three.
Collinsville (17-6) broke open a one-run game in the sixth inning, putting three consecutive hits together to plate three Lady Pirate runs. Alix Dean drove in one run with a 2 for 3 day at the plate, while Amber Farr extended her hitting streak to 13 games with an RBI triple in her last at bat.
The Lady Pirates will travel to Denton Tuesday to face Liberty Christian in another non-district game at 5 p.m.
