View Full Version : ATTENTION 3ADOWNLOW

Rabbit'93

I need to know who would be interested in buying a 3ADownlow Tshirt to sport at ballgames. I'm figuring they would cost about $10-12 (depending on art work). This way the site could earn some money.

I think if we could get about 50 people interested on this thread I will start working out some details with the admins.

I know that Pirate4state, Sinton 66, and myself are in so we only need 47 more.

I was thinking along those lines Old Tiger. I would just use the Logo they have with the blue flame coming off of it.

Rabbit, you need to include an option to put the buyer's screen name in a prominent place on the shirt(Possibly right below the logo).

Rabbit93, I can email you a copy of that ad, but all it is is the burning 3ADownlow logo with one of the 3A Texas Flags from the homepage centered underneath it. You wouldn't want the text. Think a great idea would be a larger 3A Texas Flag on the back, flaming 3ADownlow logo above the left breast, with optional screen name below it.

This is what I really want also, a nice pullover shirt with a collar that buttons up........... and embroidered, not silkscreened.

Here is a VERY simple & rough draft of what our shirts/polos could look like. Let me know what you think & feel free to come up with an alternate design. http://customink.com/temp/saveproofs/rita_alaniz@yahoo.com/downl2front.jpgYou can go to www.customink.com (http://www.customink.com) to design your idea.

These are all good ideas but to get them personlized your looking at increased cost and labor. My suggestion would be come up with a Tshirt layout that everyone agrees with and have that be the standard. Maybe the logo on the heart with something on the back. As far as the Polo shirt goes we could do an embroidered logo on the heart with the texas flag and the 3a's underneath it. I just want to keep the cost down so more people will be inclined to buy and the site would make more $$$.

CHS_Grad '85

I'd buy one as long as it's 100% cotton... anything else would be too hot and I already work up a sweat at the games... I'm all about comfort these days... :D

Rabbit93, you can work backwards on the price for the custom requests. Get with Matthew and Jacket, set an amount from each shirt for the site (equal to what they get from the standard tees), add in your costs, shipping costs, and a reasonable profit, and quote that price. They will either buy or they won't. The cheaper you can do it, the more you will sell, but no one expects you to do this at a loss. wink

Though I too would prefer a polo, I'm sure I would purchase at least one of what ever type of shirt is created.

and on the back put Gainesville Leopards 2003 state champs

I'm "N" . :D

Compromise is the key....

We need:
33 - Pocket T-shirts, with a 3-button, button-up placard, and the logo and screen name on the left breast.

1 - Same as above, but with YaYa on 1 sleeve and a red soccer ball on the other.

(sorry YaYa, but I HAD TO!) eek!

pirate4state
09-05-2003, 09:39 AM
That's the spirit folks!! If I may offer up a suggestion, any additional "extras", YaYa's sleeve thing or any sort of monograms, for example, should be handled locally once you receive your shirt(s). It may not be cost efficient for all these custom orders. wink So, Rabbit'93 what is the next step?? Do we need to hold a DL "town meeting" to take a vote on a design??

Bandera YaYa

I think the next step is to ask Matt (not Matthew) is he would like to have part in this, since it is his site. I will set up something with him and we can get the ball rolling. I could possibly have something together this weeekend so stay around the 'puter.
