This is two of the states most quality programs in SB. I could well come down to an extra hit or two for the winner. This teams are just loaded with good Greater Houston select team players. Someone from Sinton made the observation that Region III will have an elimination of a host of the best SB teams prior to getting out of the region. They are so right--any of a dozen could end up representing Region III. I am going to try to get over to Huffman Monday at 7 pm to see this pivitol game.

Should be a good one. BH won the first one and Splendora the second game 1-0. The team who makes the fewest errors will win in my opinion.

I personally feel that coach Hall will have the Barbers Hill girls ready to play and with the pitcher back and the team playing well, Barbers Hill will win it what will be a great game and a hard contest. Both teams will do very well in the play-offs.

when it comes to picking teams in this district, your best bet is to never bet against BH....they are very well funded

Don't seel the importance of funding short. Facilities, coaching, and support all play large rolls in getting good athletes to play and play well as a team. Funding is key for any program to achieve a high level of competitiveness, particularlly over a large period of time.

Of course I will go with BH, but Splendora is a good team and will not lay down. This will be another 1-0 contest IMHO. That will probally go into extra innings. Good luck Eagles yet again I will be out of town Monday hope you do well.

I have a question for anyone in Bridge City or in that district. Who got second and third place in the district?

Old Cardinal

Congrates to Heather Mosser on the HR! How far is the fence and how high? I think 3 of us from the Triangle will be over to H-H for the game--it a great thing when the two top teams meet to decide who represents where in the Bracket play.

To Rainman: Orangefield got second and H-F got 3rd. OF will do OK in the playoffs. Remember how they stayed tied with BH last year on into the 5th inning. Well they have the same team back again.
Don't look for much competition out of H-F in bracket play. They have a great 18 & U Beaumont Blast pitcher who can beat you at the plate; however, we just heard that she is now out with grades and not participating in the postseason. She only pitched two games both at the last of the regular season and beat WO-S and gave BC a good game. On top of that, their other pitcher broke her wrist so they will be pitching their first baseman against the loser of BH/Splendora. I wish you could have seen Kayla Camille pitch she is a dandy! H-F will have Camille back next year-- she is only a Junior. They are quite young and with the returners and Kayla Camille they will be tough to beat.

Softball: Splendora 2 Barbers Hill 1
Despite a no-hit performance by BH's Chandler Hall, the Lady Eagles fell to Splendora by a score of 2-1. A two-out error allowed Splendora to score their 2 runs. Barbers Hill had numerous opportunities but was unable to capitalize. Twice with a runner on third, a BH batter hit a line shot but right at a fielder. Splendora was able to convert one of the line drives into a double play by doubling off the runner at third.

Barbers Hill will now play Hamshire-Fannett on Thursday. Time and place will be announced later.
